BLOBS - EXHIBITION ART
More Pics..
In these drawings, I wanted to show a female character fighting battles and
going on adventures. She has to be determined, overcome her fears, and
be willing to talk with the monsters..
Having swallowed a potion that renders her semi-transparent, she has walked
endlessly in the gruesome night to accomplish a foul deed - she has to wade
through a gigantic brain teeming with eyes, some out on stalks..
I was inspired by the character of NeZha, a Chinese super-hero, "a Daoist
protection deity, the enfant terrible, trickster.."
(Wikipedia).
As a child looking at the pictures in my NeZha storybook, I was convinced
NeZha was a girl. I liked the idea of a girl getting to fight dragons and being
insolent to the gods. When it was revealed that he, like most other super-
heros, was another male, I was disappointed! However I like him because
he is different from the typical macho male characters, instead symbolising
innocence, youth and rebellion.
These posters were created for the event, "Inspired by Tim Burton", curated
by

There are some animations of NeZha..
