LA VIE EN ROUGE

I drew this flyer for a music event at Bar 54
The promoter sought an image that captured the idea, "ADDICTED TO MUSIC".
She also said "maybe a bit burlesque."

Since it all sounded pretty decadent about, I took some inspiration from
Art Nouveau. I thought about the concept of music, together with the
idea of a magnetic, even fatalistic attraction. Eventually I arrived at the
image of a butterfly addicted to her gramophone, to which was added a
trippy-looking border and an exquisitely elegant font by CybaPee.
